The Anamorphic Research AR2 Lens will allow you to get the most out of today's High Definition 2.35:1 aspect ratio movies. Our lens will give you the biggest picture, higher brightness, highest pixel density (vs. zoom method), and no more annoying black bars to worry about. With its custom crafted optics, advanced BBAR coatings and computer designed housing, this lens is ready to showcase all your favorite high definition cinemascope movies in your own home theater the way the director intended. When you use the AR2 lens with a 2.35 to 2.40 projection screen you will no longer be wasting your projector’s valuable pixels on black bars, but instead this majestic format will transform your home cinema experience and take it to another level. Not only will you be maximizing your projector’s performance, but now all your favorite 2.35:1 aspect ratio movies will be the largest format in your theater. For example, upgrading to a 50” tall 2.37:1 aspect ratio screen will give you more than 10 square feet of additional image area compared with projecting without a lens on an old style 1.78:1 wide-screen of the same height. When almost three quarters of all movies are now made in the ultra-wide cinemascope aspect ratio format, there’s more reason than ever to upgrade your home theater with an AR2 lens. It’s time to bring your theater into the 21st Century and start enjoying your favorite movies all over again!

LMAP

LMAP The LMAP (Lens Mount Adapter Plate) allows you to easily attach the lens directly in front of the projector in fixed lens configurations. No need to put any more holes in your ceiling! The LMAP works with our MLS (Manual Lens Slide) in a movable lens configuration, and also fits all of the Chief® RPA™ Series Projector Mounts.

UACE

UACE
The UACE (Universal Astigmatism Correction Element) will correct astigmatism (the projector's inability to focus sharply in both planes across the entire screen when using an add-on lens), which is common with short throws such as those found in a typical home theater environment. The UACE is a great upgrade for those wanting to maximize the performance of their 2-element lens and will make a very noticeable difference in image quality. See our Blog's Lens Update and Support Page's Documentation section for additional information about the UACE.

MLS

MLS

  • Professionally designed industrial grade ball bearing slide
  • High strength 316 stainless steel construction
  • Durable powder coated finish
  • Maximum lateral lens shift: 8.25” (21cm)
  • Weight: 2 lb. 6 oz. (1.1kg)
  • Dimensions: 13.75”L x 2”W (3.5”W platform) x .75”H (35cm x 5cm x 2cm)
  • Made in the USA

The Anamorphic Research MLS (Manual Lens Slide) will allow you to move your anamorphic lens out of the projector’s light path when watching aspect ratios narrower than 2.35:1. This will allow you to utilize the projector’s full resolution rather than using a scaler to horizontally squeeze the image (reduce the number of horizontal pixels that form the image). That’s especially bad when watching high definition movies or sports when every pixel counts. Just slide the lens into position and scale the image for 2.35:1 viewing. Then, slide it out of the way and remove image scaling to maximize your high definition viewing experience for 16:9 content.

The Manual Lens Slide easily attaches to any projector using the tremendously popular Chief® RPA™ Series Projector Mount and our Lens Mounting Adapter Plate (LMAP). Using the LMAP to attach your AR2 lens directly to the projector will give you that professional look to complete your home theater’s transformation.
